If you teach English in Korea you will most likely need to open a bank account for you can be paid. As in Japan, many jobs use the direct deposit system to pay your salary and you will need to give a copy of your bank book to your employer to set it up. However, most banks in Korea do not have staff that speak English and it is a good idea to have your boss or coworker help you set up your bank account if possible.
