Travel to Guilin, ChinaSubmitted by I on 28 November 2007 - 5:15pmI travled to Guilin with my girlfriend over the Chinese national holiday in October. I have a bunch of pictures that I will add when I have time. Guilin is one of the two most famous places to travel in China, which is why you shouldn't go there on a national holiday - way too many people. On our tour down the Li River there were so many boats that we even got in an accident with another boat. Fortunately no one was injured.

Guilin
I hear lots of great things about the scenery in Guilin although I haven't had the privilege to visit there yet.
What national holiday was it, by the way?

I went to Guilin during the Mid-Autumn Festival, Chinese Chuseok.

Ah, Zhong Qiu Jie. One of my favorite holidays. =) Have you tried the mooncakes with sweetened lotus root filling?
