Photo of Taipei in WinterSubmitted by LFT on 10 September 2008 - 6:24am.Tags: Here's a photo of a typical gray winter day in Taiwan. There was a period or a couple of weeks where I didn't see any blue in the sky at all.
It eventually cleared up, but after the clouds were gone it was possible to see the pollution:

Blue skies over Taiwan???
I went to Kaohsiung during winter for my brother's wedding reception. That city has to be the most polluted city I've ever seen since Beijing... Even trumps Seoul by a longshot!

Kaohsiung is very polluted. I was there for just one night, but my throat was burning from the air pollution. An English teacher there said, "you get used to it after a few days." I left before that... :)
