Utilities in Korea will generally average around 70,000 won per month. However, this will vary according to your lifestyle with gas/oil being the largest component of your utilities bill. If you use a lot of heat in the winter, you can expect your bill to be closer to 100,000 won. You should be fine if you budget 40,000 won for the fall and spring, and 70,000 - 80,000 won for the winter and summer.

Utilities - more info
In some places, like where I live, heating is done by oil heat, not gas. This came as a surprise to me since I lived in Seoul in 2004 and only had the experience of gas heat. I live in Uljin now, and we have gas for the stove, but oil for heating and for heating water. About 2 weeks ago I tested the heating system of the house, because Oct 23 this year was 상강 (first frost) so I wanted to make sure that the system was working. Anyway, it worked for a bit, then a red light came on. The oil had run out! So, ordered oil and it cost about 176,000 won to fill the tank.
Although technically not a utility, Internet service is generally more outside the larger cities it seems. My service costs about 45,000 won a month for the highest speed connection. Initial installation was 30,000 won.
I don't use landline phone because I have a cell phone, and it seemed pointless to have both. I don't know what a landline phone would cost a month.
Hope this info is of some help.

though i don't have one either - mobiles go with you - i did find out about it before deciding. KT requires 60,000W to hook up the line and then it's about 6,000 a month - no calls included. you pay for each call, international or otherwise. they have two different systems with different area code numbers 010 and 017 (i think) the 010 gives you a better line, but is also more expensive. from what i remember from my conversation with KT iit was about 17W per 10 seconds of (local) call time...
you can find out anything about the phone and internet by calling 100 from any korean phone and waiting for the english message... then an english speaking korean will come on the line to help you.
