If anyone is doing the 'What
If anyone is doing the 'What Are You Doing' lesson, a good idea is to get the kids into groups of four and then get each group to create a ladder game. The game should have the names of the four students above and four activities beneath the ladder grid. Then you can go around the class asking each student "What are you doing?", get them to trace down the ladder, and hear them say "I'm jumping/dancing/etc" with the actions if you like. It's a good opportunity to give individual feedback and make sure everybody can use the target language.
Can You Join Us?
I swear every time someone says, "Come on everybody!" I'm going to think "Let's make a snowman! Ooooohhh yeah!" for the rest of my life.
Future House
I got my children to suggest what futuristic devices would be in the future house. Then I wrote them on a handout with a blank space beside each item for kids to write in what room the item would go in. Some items could go in multiple rooms, like the talking mirror which could go in the bathroom or the bedroom. The robot cup elicited bewilderment from one class which got another classes hand-out. I suggested it would heat what you were drinking and keep it at that temperature, but I'm not sure what the child who suggested it was thinking. Damn it I should patent that idea.
Oh, this is for 'This is a Bedroom'.
