If you don't think your students would enjoy it, then don't play it? That seems like an easy enough way to "organize ideas," don't you think? I think this sounds like a fun game for younger children. You could try writing vocab words on the balloons for variety or to teach associations between common nouns and colors (blue sky, red firetruck, green grass, etc.)

OK, really? Who doesn't like hitting balloons around? Kids will always think something is stupid and childish if you treat it as such. With enough excitement and energy for the game I could get my high schoolers playing this game.

Do you really think this is appropriate for middle schoolers? Kindergarten students would think this was childish.
Is there some way to organize ideas on here by grade, instead of having way too difficult material smashed in in way too easy materials?
