I know there are some good western bars and clubs downtown--actually, i only know of two..
Communes--usually pretty chill in the early evening, but then can get very busy! The work crew is great and the music is always always good. It's very music themed with great decor and just a good feel! Check the bathroom and the boards to find out all of the happenings!
Thunderbirds--is a little more young and trendy; cozy with red couches and a lot of fun things going on!
Clubs downtown--Frog & Bubble is very popular. Very fun if you're there with a good group, but the music is kind of hit or miss. It's 10,000 won, and that's access to both clubs, and one free drink ticket! If you get hungry though--the cheese and crackers dish is recommended!
There is also a Gypsie place that is supposed to be really great!
Two more bars in Daegu
Two more great places are the Volken and Hof Bonheur! They are both downtown and are more pubish than a cocktail bar, and have a good aptmosphere. They also have good dishes to order and the Hof Bonheur does a great mixed-soju if you're like me and all of your friends like pubs and beer, but you're more into the fruity girly stuff! ;)
Ariana
The Ariana is the best place for a good night. 15,000won buffet, all you can drink German beer and a kick ass band.
