EPIK School Life

My school life is great! I'm at a fairly new school so it's very clean and nice. We also really take care of our teachers. Once a month we start classes early and get to have kind of a teacher's excursion day and you choose to be in a group and do that activity with other teachers. So i'm in the bowling group and it's been a lot of fun to start/end classes early and then go bowl and get some food with the teachers! also, our school has a teacher's rest area and for the ladies there are two beds, a large couch and two big chairs. it's nice to get a nap sometimes during a free period!

i've also checked out books from the school library--we have a pretty good English section and after my classes end i go and exercise in the gym! sometimes one of the PE teachers will play volleyball with me, but if not i'll just practice on my own or do other exercises!

one of the things that i dont like (but this is just true of every school) is the last minute-ness! my schedule is constantly changing by the day, but now it's just something to be expected. sometimes it is frustrating, but it is a good way of making sure you are prepared ahead of time!

also, they didn't have room to put my desk with my coteacher so i'm with 3rd year teachers, even though i teach 1st year, and that means walking up and down stairs, but the teachers are nice and during free periods i usually do some computer stuff anyway. oh! and our pop-up message system is for all of the teachers and works very well and helps with my not being in the office with my co-teachers!

also, the hallways are freezing right now, but the lounge is always very warm (and was air conditioned in the summer)!

overall, i really like it here!
