Banking/currency conversion

I'm wondering how exactly one pays their home country (in my case, US) bills getting paid in what would be considered a "foreign currency."   I'm thinking the bulk of my paycheck will end up going towards my hefty student loan and slightly less hefty credit card bills.  Am I going to need to maintain two separate checking accounts?  Will I end up getting stuck up the rear with foreign wire banking fees?

I've become so accustomed to paying my bills easily online, I really would hate to waste a free day paying bills.  Or worse, I'd hate if I messed up and hurt my credit somehow.   I figure there must be some simple answer and of course any help is appreciated.
