Yurts, or Yurta, are basically round, semi-permanent tents used by nomadic people living in the steppes of Central Asia. They consist of a wooden frame and a felt cover that lies of the frame to protect people inside from the weather. Yurts are built to be erected and taken down quickly as the nomads that use them often move to new pasture lands for their livestock.
