Teaching English in Vietnam
Where in Vietnam are you? I hear that the economy is growing steadily and the demand for TEFL teachers has gone up considerably in the past 5 years.
Saigon
Saigon has many, many more teaching jobs than teachers. Be weary that the Tet holiday (Lunar New Year) and Christmas mean things are slow right now (Mid Dec) and will stay slow for about a month, but there are unlimited job opportunities. Check www.mekongesl.com for more jobs.

Thanks for mentioning www.mekongesl.com. Now - mid February - things should be picking up again and will reach their zenith in the summer. For years summer was the best time for people to find day work and work during the week, but that is changing and even people just arriving can find day work at places like Asian High School, the American International School and lots of other 'full curriculum' schools.
Saigon has a lot to offer and things are changing fast.
