Japanese culture
Japanese language and culture was my main focus of my BA in Asian Studies although I'm not quite good at Japanese speaking. I can read modern short stories in colloquial Japanese, but I usually need a Kanji dictionary to do so! Mostly, my focus at the university was pre-industrial Japanese culture including the Heian Period up to the end of the Tokugawa Shogunate.
