Scooter accident

I'm keeping this brief because I'm going straight down to the pub for a beer.

I just saw a scooter accident happen about fifty metres in front of me.  Two scooters collided with each other.  One man got up and walked away, the other had blood coming out of his mouth and nose and couldn't move.  I ran to the nearby chicken shop (his employers) and did a smack-bang action with my hands, which communicated what they needed to know.  Everybody ran outside and surrounded the injured man.  I felt a bit useless so I left, but then I got worried and came back.  It looked like he wasn't breathing.  Everyone around him was in shock.  Someone had called an ambulance.  I remembered my first aid and told them they needed to clean his mouth to establish an airway (with mime actions).  A woman from the shop ran back to get a towel.  I opened his mouth with my fingers and cleaned out some of the blood.  He made a noise.  I checked his breathing with the back of my hand.  I kept holding his jaw open until the ambulance arrived, then helped transfer him to a stretcher, then everyone helped load him into the ambulance, and he got taken away.  A little girl who was watching looked very upset.  I hope he is okay.  Curiously, there was only one ambo.

"Ambo"

By ambo do you mean only one attendant, serving as driver also? Did he attempt any assessment or first aid?

That's terrible

Did you find out if the guy was OK? How did the accident happen? Did the scooter just fall over or was it hit by a car?

To answer Bill's question:

To answer Bill's question: yes there was only one ambulance officer.  I.e. he had to drive and get the injured party into the vehicle.  He would do a basic assessment- possible spinal/head injury, probable internal injury.  Then triage at the hospital would further assess him.

To answer I's question: I saw the woman who worked at the chicken shop yesterday and asked her 'kibuni ottoni' which as far as I am aware means are you okay, but I'm sure she is aware of what I meant (I meant to enquire about her colleague who was the injured party).  She answered kwanchenoyo and thanked me.  She looked white as a sheet.  I told a teacher at school about it and he said he would call them and ask to make sure he is okay.  He was going to do that last night and I haven't spoken to him today.  The accident happened when two scooters collided with each other.  One man was fine, the other injured, bleeding from nose and mouth, and lying prone on the ground.  I left and came back and saw that he wasn't responding to the Koreans who were talking to him and touching him.  He looked very pale and I think the blood was congealing.  So I think I might have saved his life by giving him an airway.

I just heard that he is okay

I just heard that he is okay but has broken teeth.  He must have been in real pain when I opened his jaw with my fingers.
