About the school
Located in the historically and culturally prominent Zhenjiang in Jiangsu province, the university has 24 schools, with 280 professors and 850 associate professors. Over 35,000 students are enrolled about 6,000 of whom are postgraduates. Achievements include earning the “Winning Cup” in the 10th National Challenge Cup for Academic and Scientific Achievements among university students. It passed the assessment by the Ministry of Education as one of the “Excellent Universities for Undergraduate Education” and won the provincial award for outstanding performance.
The location
Zhenjiang is famous for its idealistic Chinese image; the surrounding hillsides and nearby Yangzi river are the themes of countless celebrated landscape paintings. With a rich ancient culture and equaling enticing modern culture (be sure to try the crab cream buns!), Zhenjiang is a perfect mix of traditional and modern China. The city is conveniently near Nanjing and not far from Shanghai either.
