I am thinking about traveling outside of Korea during my winter vacation. Do I need to change my visa? What do I do?

Re-entry visa
You need to upgrade to a multiple entry visa. You will need to surrender your passport to immigration for a week to do that. Otherwise you can get a single re-entry at Incheon Airport for a small fee.
I can't remember how much a multiple re-entry visa costs- I have a feeling it's 60,000 won.
Getting a Korean Multiple Entry Visa
I was able to upgrade to a multiple entry visa without surrending my passport. I went to the local immigration office with my passport, alien registration card, and 50,000 won. The whole process took about 20 minutes.
I didn't need a new visa, just a new stamp on my passport, which they did at the immigration office. I walked out with my updated passport.

Electronic visa
I don't know why I said that. That's what happened when I got my alien registration card.
Actually I just gave my co-teacher some money and he applied for the multiple entry visa online. My passport was updated electronically and I printed a copy of the visa, which I have to show at the airport when I travel overseas.
