A university teaching position has some advantages, including long holidays and more advanced students (theoretically). In general, there are less hours per week than at a Hagwon or school of primary/secondary education, usually about 10-15 hours of teaching + some work with the university English club and/or English newspaper. Salaries start at about 1.8 million won per month with 3-4 months of paid vacation.
